Friends who Kiss
Friends Who Kiss is an exploration of the quiet significance of friendship, capturing the emotional landscape of the final months of college and the nostalgia that accompanies it. This work reflects the importance of the everyday, demonstrating how nostalgia is built through repeated moments of closeness and care.
This is my current project for my senior minor exhibition at Boston College. I photograph my friends as we transition into a new era of life aiming to capture the unspoken, fleeting moments that define my college experience: shared meals, quiet conversations, and spontaneous gatherings with my closest friends. These images are deeply personal to me, almost as if I am exposing the quiet, hidden corners of my life. My focus is on the authenticity of everyday moments and how these small occurrences take on deeper meaning over time. I’m particularly interested in how memory distorts time, turning the seemingly mundane into something cherished. I want to document not only what happened but also how it felt to be part of these intimate moments.
